New Google Sites Features: Go Gadgets!
Today, we announced three new features in Google Sites that will make gadgets more useful for Google Apps Premier Edition customers:
1. Start Page template, so site owners can let users personalize areas of a site, such as an internal sales portal;
2. Private gadgets, which IT admins can upload and only domain members can see and add;
3. Encryption, whereby if a Google Site is encrypted, then your gadget data will be encrypted from the source code to the browser.
Developers can learn more about developing private gadgets here.

Google App Engine billing now available
Today the App Engine team announced formal pricing and the ability to pay for resources beyond the free quota.
The free quota is still there, but now your app can grow beyond it, and do so in a controlled manner. You can set a daily budget for your app that represents the maximum amount you're willing to pay for computing resources each day.
We think the price point of Google App Engine combined with the ability to integrate Google App Engine apps with Google Apps presents a good opportunity for solution providers to serve their customers in new ways.
